Ali grew up in Racine, Wisconsin and attended the University of Minnesota-Twin Cities. She stayed on in Minneapolis/St. Paul afterwards performing and training as an actor there as well as a short period of time in London before she moved to Los Angeles where she is actively improvising all over town after her training at iO West and in The Second City Conservatory.
